  1. All in the name<\/strong> \u2013 Mystery surrounds the name, but legend suggests that Madrid was once called Ursaria. Because of the number of bears that inhabited the region. Some believe it comes from a Roman settlement, \u201cMatrice\u2019 or is it \u201cMagerit\u2019 from the Arabic meaning \u2018place of water\u2019?
