Let\u2019s start our look around the city at the table of education, Harvard<\/a>. America\u2019s oldest college, and one of the most prestigious. It\u2019s a place that dates back to 1636 and counts such Alumi as Barack Obama and Mark Zuckerberg. If you can go on a tour, then Harvard Yard, Massachusetts Hall and Harvard Hall are well worth seeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No tour<\/a> of Boston can go without discovering the story of the Boston Tea Party. You can visit the Tea Party Ships and Museum<\/strong> down in the harbour. You can even re-enact your own rebellious moment of tipping tea! It\u2019s a place that\u2019ll enlighten you about the history behind this most important of moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the museums, you need to check out the Institute of Contemporary Art<\/strong>, Museum of Fine Arts<\/strong> and the Museum of Science<\/strong>. The freedom trail is also a good way to see the city as it weaves its way to the centre (Beacon Hill<\/em> and Copley Square<\/em> among them).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a view, head up The Skywalk Observatory<\/a>. Well, you\u2019ve learnt about the history and significance of the city. You\u2019ve looked at the educational side, so observing the city from on high is the next step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sport<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Fanatical isn\u2019t perhaps doing justice to the folk of Boston with their love of sport. Let the names roll off the tongue, the Red Sox\u2019s, the Patriots, the Celtics, and the Bruins. Depending on the time of year you visit, try to get to a game. Fenway Park is the oldest operating baseball stadium in the US. It\u2019s a quirky place, but a great venue to watch a game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want a proper look at the heart of Boston culture, catching a game is the perfect way. And you\u2019ll get to see some top sport too. it’s a win\/win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Food<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Come to Boston and you\u2019ve got to indulge in the food, especially the seafood. The sacred cod is one dish you have to try, as is the steamed lobster. Fancy some oysters? Or creamy chowder? The list goes on, and you\u2019ll find plenty of places to consume them. The port area, of course, is best, and you\u2019ll get the views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If seafood isn\u2019t your thing, then you have plenty of international cuisine to try from Italian to Chinese. You won\u2019t go hungry, that\u2019s for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Revolution came to Boston and left its legacy, and you\u2019ll feel that as you explore the city. Time spent in Boston differs from near neighbours such as New York. It\u2019s less claustrophobic, feels freer and fresher. It\u2019s also the gateway to New England. That, though, is another adventure for another day. Time to just enjoy the city.
