If that sounds familiar, then try slowing it down, setting aside some time for yourself, and participating in just one of the festive activities from the following list of New York\u2019s best winter events:<\/p>\n

The Ball Drop<\/h4>\n

\"best-winterEvery year, at 11:59 p.m. on December 31st, the world-famous, illuminated ball atop One Times Square begins its slow descent.\u00a0 And, unsurprisingly, witnessing the ball drop is one of the most anticipated winter events in New York.\u00a0 Those lucky enough to attend start to party at 6:00 p.m. and receive a bunch of New Year\u2019s party favours.\u00a0 So, finding a ticket for the Ball Drop<\/a><\/strong> becomes one of the most difficult things to do in New York the closer we get to the end of the year.<\/p>\n

NYC Winter Jazzfest<\/h4>\n

\"best-winterEach\u00a0year, in January, the NYC Winter Jazzfest comes to the Big Apple.\u00a0 And, spread between several popular music venues throughout the city, the festival showcases the most popular jazz musicians in the country.\u00a0 Furthermore, as the event draws to a close you can expect the usual two-day, jam-packed Greenwich Village spectacular to close out the festivities.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s one of the few winter events in New York that can actually force locals out of their apartments, other than a sunset jazz cruise<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show<\/h4>\n

\"best-winterAn American tradition spanning well over 100 years, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is one of those winter events in New York that thousands of individuals can\u2019t wait to attend.\u00a0 Also, it\u2019s a chance to see which pupper is the smartest, most handsome, and most graceful fluffball on the stage.\u00a0 The show usually takes place in February but may move due to unforeseen events, (covid for example). Check local listings to see when and where it’ll be held.<\/p>\n

You can look out for Best in Show and the agility class, among many other highlights.\u00a0 So, who will take home the enormous purple and gold ribbon:\u00a0 The standard schnauzer, bichon frise, or the bull terrier?<\/p>\n

Winter Village at Bryant Park<\/h4>\n

\"best-winterAnother highly anticipated event of the year for New Yorkers is the opening of Winter Village at Bryant Park.\u00a0 The free ice skating, holiday shops, and festive atmosphere draw happy children and their parents from all over the city.\u00a0 But, you\u2019ll also find live music, bumper cars, broomball, and a bunch of other fun activities.\u00a0 And, this year, you can take advantage of the warmth and hospitality of The Lodge, a rinkside bar and food hall.\u00a0 Yum!<\/p>\n

St. Patrick\u2019s Day Parade<\/h4>\n
