Our tips for Gold Coast

Between June and October, take a whale watching cruise and see humpback whales make their migratory journey from the Antarctic to warmer waters where they mate and give birth. Tours start at 75 AUD ($57 USD).
Enjoy an off-grid, deep-in-the-jungle hiking adventure on the Lost World Valley trial in Lamington National Park. There are private swimming holes and waterfalls to be enjoyed after the rainforest trek.
Don’t restrict yourself to Gold Coast. Head to some of the other less crowded cities like Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta. When you get out of the city, you’ll find nicer beaches, local hangout spots, watering holes and cheaper accommodation.

Good to know

Gold Coast is a year-round destination. But the best time to soak up some sun is during the months of December to February and the pleasant autumn months of March to May. The vacation hotspot sees nearly 300 days of sun every year. It is recommended to spend at least 5 days in Gold Coast to make the most of your trip.
