On this tour, see the Parliament House, a one billion dollar construction on Capital Hill which copies of the ‘Magna Carta’ and a 20-metre long tapestry. Reflecting Australia’s tangled social history, the National Museum or National Gallery will engage you with interactive displays as you learn of the country’s aboriginal and European history.

You will be picked up from your hotel at the scheduled time in the morning. Enjoy a drive to Canberra with a morning break at the charming village of Berrima.
On arrival into Canberra, travel to the summit of Mt Ainslie for sweeping views of Canberra and surrounds. Pay a visit to the Australian War Memorial. The Australian War Memorial combines a shrine, a world-class museum and an extensive archive. Hear the history of the ANZAC’s as you travel along the boulevard dedicated to the armed forces and the supporting organizations which participated in the two world wars.
After lunch (at your own expense), join a private guided tour of the National Museum of Australia or the National Gallery (subject to current exhibits and displays). Trace 50,000 years of indigenous heritage and settlement, and see the world’s largest collection of aboriginal bark paintings and stone tools at the National Museum of Australia.
You will also be visiting the Parliament House with an expert guide. Learn about the workings of the capital of Australia with the opportunity to view the upper or lower Houses of Parliament (when in session). Admire the impressive architecture whose construction costed over $1 billion!
See The Lodge, the Australian Prime Minister’s residence and explore the picturesque tree-lined streets and view diplomatic homes and embassies of many foreign ambassadors, showcasing their fascinating cultures and architecture.
See Captain Cook Memorial Fountain, the National Library and the High-Court, view The National Carillon, a beautiful bell tower and the gardens of Commonwealth Park. After the tour, you will be driven back to Sydney, with a dinner break at Goulburn (at your own expense).
