Overview

Visit the bustling and easy-going Las Palmas, the joint capital of the Canary Islands. The city is a lively melting pot of different cultures and has one of the most charming Old Town areas in Europe. On this tour you have the freedom to explore as you wish; go shopping, visit attractions or take to the shade of one of the many delightful restaurants and cafes for a leisurely lunch break.

You will have plenty of time to explore the charming Vegueta area of Las Palmas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your local guide will be sure to advise you on the best things to see. Visit the St. Ann Cathedral, the oldest on the island, and take in the spectacular views from the top, see the beautifully ornamented Columbus House and marvel at the archaeological collection at the Museo Canario.

Next you will head to Mesa y Lopez where you have the chance to browse the shops of the largest shopping centre in all of Spain; El Corte Ingles.

Finally you will arrive at Las Canteras, one of the most beautiful beaches in town, where you will have the choice between strolling down the beach and shopping at the Las Arenas shopping centre.

Itinerary

You will arrive in Las Palmas at 10:30am. Here you will visit Triana and Vegueta, the Old Town of Las Palmas. You have 2 hours to explore at your leisure.

Next you will stop in Mesa y Lopez and visit the El Corte Ingles shopping centre. Here you will find a multitude of shops such as Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste and Pepe Jeans as well as plenty of perfume, jewellery and cosmetics stores. The electronics department has its own Apple Store and the toy department has all the latest toys and games that kids will love to browse. You have one hour to shop.

The last stop on your tour will be at Las Canteras, which has one of the most beautiful beaches in Gran Canaria. Just over 3 kilometres long, the beach is lined by restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. You can either stroll the beach and take a dip in the sea or do further shopping at the nearby Las Arenas shopping centre. You have 2 hours to relax and shop.

You will return to your hotel by 5:00pm.
