Drive through the rough terrain to the Coloured Canyon, which is famous for its spectacular display of multi-coloured cliffs. Get inspired by nature’s artistic designs in varied patterns on these cliffs and follow the road through the cliffs to arrive at a beautiful oasis.
In the morning, you will be picked up in an air-conditioned 4X4 jeep from your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will be taken about 170 kilometres to the town of Nuweiba. Also known as the ‘pearl of the Gulf of Aqaba’, Nuweiba is famous for its rugged mountains and sandy beaches.
Nuweiba lies between a Red Sea Port and the mountain of Saudi Arabia on the other side of Aqaba Gulf.
Further on, proceed to the Coloured Canyon to see the wonderful natural colours of the rocks. The walls of the canyon reach up to almost 16 stories and are the most colourful and intriguing rock formations in the Sinai Peninsula. The canyon was created by the erosion of water upon sandstone and limestone. After viewing the rock formations, take the main road to an oasis. Stop for lunch on the way.
After lunch, you will be dropped back to your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming the departure details.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.
