Overview

Time travel through Seville’s layers of history with this alternative and highly entertaining tour during which the the city’s rich and varied past comes alive before your very eyes. Past View Sevilla is a revolutionary – and so far unique in the world – way of exploring a city. It involves videoglasses and a handheld mobile device, which combine to guide you along a real route with virtual flourishes. This is a tour where the past is somewhere you genuinely visit.

The Seville route covers all the city’s main points of interest, with seven stops. At each, you will experience a ‘virtual recreation’ of the past, with you seeing with your very own eyes what that very location would have looked like at various points in Seville’s history. Watch as Cervantes pleads with a tax collector at the Plaza de San Francisco or meet the proud architect behind the Giralda as it nears completion. The video-guide will also give you an insight to the city’s other cultural, historical and artistic aspects at the Alcazar, Cathedral, the Tower of Gold and Plaza del Salvador.

The Metropol route takes you on an hour long tour around the Metropol Parasol, an avant-garde wooden building located in the heart of Seville’s old quarter. With the help of past view, history will come to life before your eyes as you wander through Roman Seville, discovering its streets and forums. All you have to do is put on the glasses, open your eyes and start living the magic of Seville through the centuries. You will see buildings, shops, streets and squares as they used to be hundreds of years ago. You can also interact with the characters of the time, who will also be your guides.
