Finish your tour in Scottsdale, one of the Southwest’s most happening cosmopolitan areas, and a bastion of great shopping.
You will be picked up by an air-conditioned coach (vans will used for smaller groups) from your Phoenix/Scottsdale hotel for this Phoenix and valley area sightseeing tour. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide who will give you information about the area that not even the locals always know.
This tour will include stops at the following historical and cultural sights:
• The State Capitol: With round “bullseye” windows, a copper dome, and a wind vane resembling the ancient Greek sculpture of Nike that sits in the Louvre, Arizona’s State Capitol building is a must-see.
• Camelback Mountain: This beautiful mountain rises to an elevation of more than 2700 feet and draws its name from its peculiar shape, which resembles the head and two humps of a Bactrian camel.
• Scottsdale’s Fifth Avenue/Old Town District: Scottsdale’s Fifth Avenue/Old Town District is full of unique shops and galleries. From hand-woven Navajo rugs to Zuni silver jewelry, you’ll find presents aplenty to bring home. The area is also a cosmopolitan hub, featuring dozens of bars and clubs that have earned national recognition.
You also have an hour at leisure to browse the shops and galleries of Old Town Scottsdale, You will also see South Mountain Park and Field-home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
You will be dropped back at your Phoenix/Scottsdale hotel at tour’s end.
