The Palace of Versailles is one of the finest examples of French art and architecture of the 17th century. The vastness of Versailles Palace can only be fully explored with the help of an expert guide. This guide will take you around the palace and share interesting stories and details about the 17th century French monarchy, including the note-worthy King Louis XIV and his wife, Marie Antoinette, arguably the most famous residents of the palace.
With your pre-booked tickets, rush past the long queues and head straight into the palace. See the stupendous Apartments of the King and Queen, opulently adorned with gold and beautiful fabrics and the famous Hall of Mirrors designed by Mansart. Take a leisurely stroll in the lush formal gardens designed by Andre Le Notre.

You will be picked up from your Paris hotel in a minivan at your chosen time and transported to the entrance of the Palace of Versailles.
Meet your guide and head straight inside the palace premises, avoiding the long queues with your skip-the-line Versailles ticket.
Your guide will walk you through the history of French royalty, revealing the extravagance of King Louis XIV’s chambers, the pompous halls and the beautiful gardens. Versailles was the centre of French politics from 1682 until the French Revolution in the late 1700s.Listen to fascinating stories and anecdotes about Louis XIV and his wife Marie Antoinette, who resided in the palace and were later guillotined in Paris during the revolution.
One of the major highlights of Versailles is the spectacular Hall of Mirrors, where the historic Treaty of Versailles, ending World War I, was signed in June 1919.
Moving forward, your guide will leave you at the gardens, allowing ample leisure time to take in the beauty of the verdant palace gardens full of remarkable sculptures, waterways and royal residencies – including Marie Antoinette’s rural retreat, the Queen’s Hamlet.
If you choose to see the Fountains Show , enjoy the fanciful histrionics of Versailles’ water fountains accompanied by musical compositions from Lully, Desmarets, Gluck and Rameau.
At the end of the tour, you will return to your Paris hotel.

Your driver will pick you up from Versailles Palace for your return transfer either at 2:30pm or 6pm depending on your choice.
