A boat tour along the Oslo fjord is the best way to experience the stunning beauty of the rugged Norwegian coastline.

Travel through a pristine paradise, relaxing as the boat sails past the picturesque islands in the inner part of Oslo fjord. Admire the imposing Akershus Fortress which was used to protect Oslo from attacks from the sea.

Enjoy a stop at Bygdøynes during the winter months and explore the prominent museums there.

Winter stop at the museums: In winter, we sail via the museums at Bygdøynes on our way back to the City Hall. Take the first boat at 10.30am and see the museums at Bygdøy for 2 ½ hours before taking the next boat back to the City Hall. The calls at Bygdøynes are at 12.15pm and 2.45pm, but it is also possible to return by public transport bus.

Itinerary

The tour starts from Rådhusbrygge 3 (pier 3) waterfront of the Oslo City Hall. Sail along the Fjord, past a maze of green islands dotted with picturesque summer houses.

Summer Itinerary:

This is the classic Oslo Fjord sightseeing. You will pass through narrow sounds, idyllic bays and through a maze of islands with small summer houses. Discover the scenery from a sightseeing boat. You’ll sail past numerous islands, including Hovedøya and the Dyna Lighthouse, through narrow inlets and into sheltered bays so that you can capture the capital on camera from different angles. Also, you will pass the Opera House in Oslo, housing The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet ensemble. The spot has been named Kirsten Flagstads place 1 after the opera's first director Kirsten Flagstad. The boat then passes close to the peninsula of Bygdøy, with many interesting museums as well as beaches such as Huk. You can also see the Maritime Museum with its veteran sailing ships moored outside, and the impressive Fram Museum, housing the polar ship of the same name.

The area is known for its stunning beauty, so be sure to bring your camera along.

Winter itinerary: The classic Oslo fjord Sightseeing allows you to pass through idyllic bays and through a maze if islands with small summer houses along with numerous lighthouses. You will pass the Opera house, the new Munch Museum, and the new fjord town developing waterfront in Oslo. Join the 2 hour approx. Fjord sightseeing and will stop at Bygdoynes. After visit to museums, your  tour departs from Bygdoynes.
