When you arrive at Waiheke there are so many wonderful things to do. Some ideas are given below.
Beaches: Waiheke has several beautiful beaches, but the best ones for swimming are at Oneroa (the main town, close to the ferry terminal) and at Onetangi, a 20 minute bus ride away. Buses meet all ferries – follow the signs from the terminal to the bus stop.

Just follow the coast left or right as you leave the wharf and look for the yellow and green signs. A leaflet about walking routes is available at the Waiheke Ferry Terminal.
Wine Tasting: With more than 30 vineyards on the island, Waiheke offers visitors great opportunities for wine tasting (as well as superb vineyard restaurants).
