You will be seeing works by Van Gogh & Monet, ancient Egyptian temples and works from the Pacific Islands. Enjoy the landmark pieces of Met like the bronze of Auguste Rodin’s ‘Thinker’, Claude Monet’s ‘Water Lillies’ and the colossal Temple of Dendur – so large it required a new wing be added to the Met.

See perfectly preserved Ancient Egyptian tombs and tiny dioramas that show what life was like in the times of Tutankhamun. Get an insight into the burial rituals of the Egyptians, study ancient works of Greek statuary and Roman frescoes, and admire the exotic exhibits from Papua New Guinea.

Founded in 1870, the Metropolitan Museum of Art boats of one of the biggest art collections in the world. The Met attracts art connoisseurs from across the globe. As you enjoy the highlights of one of the best museums in the world, hear incredible stories behind these works, from what really happened to Van Gogh’s ear to why you can thank Jackie Onassis for the ancient Egyptian temple.

One of the best spots in the Met is the roof garden, which features rotating sculpture installations by contemporary and 20th century artists. (Jeff Koons, Andy Goldsworthy and Imran Qureshi have all shown here.) Enjoy lovely views of Central Park from the rooftop garden.
