Overview

Discover Nashville through its food and music while learning about the historic Civil Rights Movement of the 60’s during your Nashville Cultural Walkabout!

With your Nashville Cultural Walkabout tickets, you’ll explore “Music City, U.S.A.” Nashville first gained a name for itself in music when an all-black acapella group from Fisk University toured the nation to raise funds for the institution. Since then, famous musicians from Nashville, like Johhny Cash, Pat Boone, Little Richard, and Sheryl Crow, have all made names for themselves. You’ll also discover the great foods Nashville for which the city is famous, like hot chicken, sweet potato chips, or Meat & Three! If you’re in Tennessee for the first time, this tour is what to do in Nashville!

Learn all about the 1960’s Civil Rights Movement that eventually changed how the South looked at racial segregation laws. Walk in the footsteps of the protesting civil rights leaders who risked their lives to bring change. Explore important sites from the Civil Rights Movement where brave young men and women carried out sit-ins, non-violent marches and were spat-on, hosed down, or even sprayed with insecticides. Taking home a little bit of Tennessee history is one of the best things to do in Nashville!
