Itinerary

You will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach at the front of the “Karstadt” department store for an Innsbruck and the Swarovski World of Crystals Tour. A bilingual (English and German) guide will accompany you on this tour.

The first stop is Swarovski World of Crystals. The name Swarovski Crystal speaks of the chicest, finest quality crystal and glassware. You’ll have a chance to browse through their collections, and make any purchases that you desire (payable direct).

You’ll see Crystal World, a diverse multimedia gallery that is one of Tirol's most popular attractions. In the gallery there are the artistic creations of at least fifteen famed artists including Salvador Dalí, Brian Eno, André Heller, and Andy Warhol.

The tour will continue to Innsbruck where you’ll be given time to explore at your leisure. There are many attractions for sightseeing, including Hofburg and Hofkirche. If you’re in Innsbruck, Hofburg is a must-see. This gorgeous palace will take your breath away with its magical opulance. Hofburg was a favorite of Maria Theresia. Across the street is Hofkirche. Within it is the empty sarcophagus of Emperor Maximilian I, intricately carved from marble. You may also wish to take lunch at one of the many cafés that feature traditional Austrian sweets (payable direct).

On the way back to Munich, you’ll pass by the Olympic Winter Game locations of 1964 and 1976, including the Igls bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track and Bergisel ski jumping hill.
