Elephanta caves are situated on the famous Elephanta Island and these ancient caves dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva date back to 5th century BC! Enjoy a 2 hour ferry ride to this iconic cave that is world renowned and cruise along the Arabian Sea (two and fro) from the gateway of India.
Prepare for an enchanting and divine experience to see and understand the different forms of the Hindu God Shiva! This fun excursion to the famous Elephanta Caves across the Mumbai harbor houses some of the most beautiful rock-cuts of the period.
Once inside the caves, behold the famous Trimurti sculpture of three-faced Shiva depicting his three aspects as Creator, Preserver and Destroyer is powerfully portrayed in the massive sculpture. Elephanta has been included in World Heritage Sites by UNESCO and is truly a treat for the eyes.
