Overview

Discover Australia’s natural beauty with The Great Ocean Road Experience!

Crystal-clear waters. Jaw-dropping rock formations. Endless sheer cliffs. When you take The Great Ocean Road Experience, Mother Nature shows up dressed to the nines. So, let her know you appreciate all that she does as you behold the world-famous 12 Apostles. Bathing in the shallow waters off the coast of Port Campbell, these enormous limestone stacks stare back at you either in judgment or with mercy, depending on your current disposition. Look on in wonder at the hydrodynamic forces that separated these giants from the rest of the cliff face.

Then, wave goodbye to the 12 Apostles and say hello to the Loch Ard Gorge. Nature’s washing-machine received its name from the shipwrecked Loch Ard. And, if you show up when the tide is right, you can take in a dazzling display of crashing waves and churning foam. By the time you’re done observing the show of raw power, you’ll know exactly what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object!

As The Great Ocean Road Experience continues, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to descend down the Gibson Steps. In the late 1800’s, a settler by the name of Hugh Gibson carved these 86 stone steps into the cliff face. And, today, you can still use them to reach the sand and surf, below.

Stop at the picturesque Apollo Bay for lunch (own expense), you’ll have a chance to visit the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch. This man-made arch commemorates the World War I veterans who returned home and, by constructing the Great Ocean Road, created one of the most scenic drives on Earth.

Finally, while heading back to the bustling city, you can take advantage of some dramatic photo opportunities of Port Philip Bay and the Melbourne skyline as you cross the West Gate Bridge.Because you won’t have to worry about wrong turns or missed chances, the entire experience feels seamless and stress-free; so, you’ll get to enjoy the beauty of Australia’s coastline exactly like a local would!
