    Overview

Boasting numerous great coastal locations, incredible views and natural wonders, the Great Ocean Road is a must-do experience for every traveler. Travel in an air-conditioned coach from Melbourne and see the major highlights along this stunning stretch of road.

The Great Ocean Road winds through gorgeous coastal terrain. You will pass by quaint seaside villages including Apollo Bay, see the rugged splendor of the Twelve Apostles and the London Bridge and learn about the fascinating history of the Loch Ard Gorge. During the course of the tour, an expert guide will accompany you at all times.

    Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Melbourne in an air-conditioned coach at the scheduled time in the morning for the Grand Ocean Road tour.

    • Port Campbell:
Marvel the huge and iconic stacks of limestone formations and see the massive natural erosion. Sheltered by cliffs and Norfolk pines, see the contrast between lush evergreen rainforest and barren rugged coast.
    • Twelve Apostles:
Next, your bus will take you to the tour’s main highlight, the Twelve Apostles. These stunning limestone rock formations are a result of erosion that began more than 20 million years ago. Head down to the beach along the Gibson Steps and be dwarfed by these enormous rock stacks as your guide shares the fascinating history of its evolution. Walk around the area for closer access to the shoreline. You may also head to the cliff viewing area for great photo opportunities.
    • Loch Ard Gorge:
Next, you will see the Loch Ard Gorge, one of the other dramatic attractions on the Great Ocean Road. Climb the staircase that leads down to the beach to the heart of Shipwreck Coast. Here, 52 lives were lost and only two souls survived the wreck of the Loch Ard in 1878.
    • London Bridge:
Up next, head to see the famous London Bridge, a naturally-formed arch in the ocean, and hear about its intriguing history. Take in the sweeping views from the viewing platforms located near the arch.
    • Apollo Bay:
Your last stop on the tour before heading back to Melbourne will be the Apollo Bay. Explore this beautiful seaside village located at the foothills of the Otways. Relax and enjoy lunch (direct payable) at one of the many cafés or take a leisurely stroll along the beachfront before heading to your next stop.

Admire the spectacular night lights of Melbourne as you cross the West Gate Bridge on your way back to Melbourne. You will be dropped off to your hotel after the tour.
