Enter the curved underwater tunnel at Manila Ocean Park and become one with the strange and fascinating marine world from all angles. There is a variety of marine life in the Ocean Park abound with rare fish and special shark museums to display even rarer marine creatures. Spread over 8000 square meters, explore the amusement park and gain incredible insight into Manila’s splendid ocean life.
The filtered water source of the marine aquarium comes from Manila Bay, and is processed by a special process in order to ensure that the water quality is suitable for marine life. It has an educational activity area, a room with unique features for special events and watching sharks and stingrays. The 25 meter tunnel is the highlight of the Ocean Park in addition to a range of other exciting experiences in store:
Large Aquarium Oceanarium: There are 14,000 marine creatures in the marine aquarium, all of which are native to the Philippines. Because of its variety, it has been rated as one of the most comprehensive marine aquariums. The Oceanarium has seven phases, with approximately 3,000 cubic meters of seawater and a total length of 55 meters with specially treated water!
Fish Spa: The Fish Spa here offers a unique experience as you enter a completely new realm with hot spring water. Let the little fish doctor clean up the dead skin on your feet, rejuvenate your skin and restore a natural refreshing feeling.
Penguin Pavilion: The Manila Aquarium also home to the first penguin pavilion in the Philippines. Trail to the South Pole on the penguin adventure which brings you closer to the coldest and most mysterious places on earth! Meet the first precious Humboldt Penguin baby called Kaya which was born here on July 8, 2014. You may even encounter another penguin baby named Araw who was born the same year on November 14. Manila’s penguin breeding program has been very successful over the years and as of May 2017 the aquarium is home to a total of 13 penguins hatching in Ocean Park Manila.
Jellyfish Hall: Be mesmerized by the ethereal jellyfish which have always been called one of the most beautiful creatures in the ocean. They are often seen as "dancing fairies" that swim about gracefully in the water. Through the safety of glass, admire these almost alien looking creatures.
Sea Lion Show: The unmissable event at the Manila Aquarium is the sea lion show. The venue can accommodate 1900 people and has 4-6 performances per day, so strap in for an unforgettable night put on by the South American friends.
Shark and Devil Fish Encounter: Adrenaline pumping events always tend to draw the most number of eyes so at the Shark and Ray tank is where you find the most crowds. Those who are brave enough may touch the giant devil fish and take home a thrilling story to share with friends!
