While the Moorish influence is most evident in Seville it has had a colourful and varied history including being an important hub of the Roman Empire. Seville is filled with many beautiful churches and palaces.
Its animated and picturesque street life – often painted and described – make this a lovely city to visit.
This tour begins in Madrid from where you will catch the AVE train to Seville. The journey will take around 2.5 hours.
On arrival at Seville you will begin your classic tour of this city. Some of the highlights of this tour are:
The Plaza de Espana: is one of Seville's most easily recognised buildings and the finest example the Moorish Revival in Spanish architecture.
The Cathedral: it is the third largest church in Europe and the largest Gothic building in Europe. It also boasts the largest altarpiece in the world. It is also the location of the beautiful Court of Oranges and the Giralda Tower, a Moorish minaret, the finest specimen of its kind in Europe.
The Torre del Oro: is the main surviving portion of the Alcazar palace and another beautiful example of Moorish architecture. The tower also houses the fascinating Naval Museum.
The Santa Cruz Quarter: stroll through, the famous historical old town of Seville and the enormous and beautiful Maria Luis Gardens built as a Romantic garden.
After this highly interesting tour, we take you back to the railway station for your AVE train trip back to Madrid.

Approximate time of departure is 7:00am - subject to train timings and will be advised at the time of booking confirmation. You must be at the train terminal at least 25mins prior to departure.
Tickets to be collected from Plaza de España nº7, Madrid, one working day in advance to the tour’s departure.(The closest Metro Station is Plaza de Espana on Line 10, located 3 minutes walking distance from the terminal).

Entrance to monuments are not included. All monuments will be seen from the outside.

This information will be at disposal of RENFE staff, but never will be printed on the AVE tickets. I will not be necessary for the travelers to identify themselves at the security control access, however RENFE staff will ask the travelers to verify their identity at any time.
Voucher information: You must print and surrender a paper version of your booking voucher for this activity (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator's contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.
The distance between Madrid to Seville is 430km approx 2 ½ hours by train.
