JohorBahru

Experience Johor Bahru with us

Johor Bahru (JB) is the last point in Malaysia before heading into Singapore. A large city that keeps its close ties with its neighbour has much to enjoy. Places to check out include Hindu temples like Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman and Arulmigi Rajamariamman Devasthanam, the heritage district for a wander or the Chinese Heritage Museum. And if you’ve got the kids with you, make sure to head for Legoland! Although often overlooked JB is changing, and with shopping and party zones, this border town will become a top centre. Visit it before it does, you’ll be glad you did.

SORRY! AT THE MOMENT, WE DON'T HAVE ANY TOURS AVAILABLE IN JOHOR BAHRU
Building unforgettable experiences take time and we're working on bringing you the best in travel. While we are at it, you can search for a range of tours and activities on our website from around the world.

Our tips for Johor Bahru

  • Be prepared to wait: If you are using Johor Bahru as a steppingstone to head for Singapore or vice versa, you’ll need to leave around 2 hours, especially if passing through the border by car. It’s quicker if you are taking the train from one country to the other, however.
  • Not expected to tip: In a taxi? Then it’s not expected that you tip them on completion of your journey. Also, a great taxi app to use is one called Grab. It’ll help you out, making your life so much easier.

Good to know

To get the best out of your time in Johor Bahru you’re best to visit between April and October. Although you may hit monsoon season during this time. November to February is when you’ll avoid those, and you really don’t want to put a damper on your trip.
