Overview

Combine a visit to three of the most beautiful towns on the Amalfi Coast with a tour of the ruins of Pompeii on this small-group (7-8 people) tour from Rome.

Your first stop of the day is the ancient city of Pompeii. Your guide will escort you around the well-preserved ruins that date back to 80 BCE. Visit the interiors of the homes of Pompeii's wealthier citizens and the ancient street café's where locals dined. Also, see the amphitheatre and learn about the Gladiators and the events staged in the arena. You will learn about life in Ancient Pompeii, the habits, lifestyles and peculiarities of the Ancient Romans.

At Amalfi town, you will have some time to stroll through the labyrinth of narrow lanes and alleyways that climb the surrounding hills. The town features typical Mediterranean style architecture. From Amalfi, take a shared boat to Positano where take a stroll around the narrow alleys situated along the scenic Amalfi Coast. See the beautiful beaches, the ancient fishing port, the splendid church of Santa Maria Assunta, artisan shops and enjoy a taste of the "Dolce Vita".
