An absolute haven for mountain bikers Gran Canaria boasts of a range of undiscovered trails and tracks. It has one of the best cycling tracks in the world which offers enormous variety of routes for all levels, whether one is a novice or an expert.
The Mountain Biking Tour in Gran Canaria will take you on a sightseeing excursion made for bikers. Get active whilst here and take the opportunity to discover the island in an unconventional way. The expert guides have picked the most suitable trails out of the numerous tracks so that your bike ride is adventurous as well as comfortable. Choose from three tours as each trail will be slightly different and a little more diverse than the last.
The tour also includes all the required equipment and safety gear. On your way, take pleasure in the beautiful scenery of Gran Canaria. You will also get to take time off to enjoy snacks!
You will be picked up from your hotel at 9am. There are 3 bike tours to choose from. They are:
Monday: Grand Canyon - Level 3 - 41 km 660Hm 660Hm Enjoy a unique biking experience from the coast to high-up in the mountains. Admire the green farmed valleys, the double reservoirs and the village of Ayagaures during the biking tour. Ride steadily to reach Eagle Pass and enjoy a picturesque scenery spread out below you. Gear up for a challenging descent down the Barranco of Fataga and ride through the famous “Grand Canyon” of Gran Canaria.
Wednesday: La Fortaleza – Level 2 - 44 km 440Hm 1350Hm Test your stamina and biking skills with a mix of fast, moderate and slow descents. Ride on narrow tracks and get your pulse racing. Cruise into San Bartolomé and continue on challenging terrains to the edge of the Caldera de Tirajanas. Rest at a palm oasis. The descent to the coast is an exhausting one. The track needs attention at all times and is sure to test your endurance levels.
Friday: Pico – Level 2.5 - 60 km 650Hm 2600Hm Start the biking tour at 1770m, a short distance to the top of the island, at “Pico de las Nieves”. Soak in the scent of the pine forests as you plunge down the many fast tracks to the forbidding “Roque Nublo”. Cruise through a mile-long track amongst scenic views. Be vigilant during the bike ride through the rugged volcanic landscape as it is easy to lose your way. The tour is meant for well-trained cyclists with high stamina and experience.
The tours are approximately 8 hours long and will end at 5pm. After the tour, you will return to your original point of departure.

Please indicate your height at the time of booking in order to adapt the bike size according to your needs.
Bring leisure clothes, trainers, wind jacket and backpack.
Minimum age for bikes is 12 years and for mountain bikes is 16 years.
