  • Overview & Itinerary

    Overview

Hop on your bus from Chambers Street. The bus, which was used as a funeral bus, is set up in gothic style to set your mood for the tour. Your creepy conductor onboard the bus will give you an introduction about what to expect from this tour while you drive through the streets of Edinburgh. Listen to chilling stories about Edinburgh’s famous executions, murders, misdeeds and its most sinister characters.

Sit back and listen to your conductor as he tells you about Edinburgh’s gruesome past. You will see some of Edinburgh’s most famous sites like the Edinburgh Castle, The New Town, Greyfriar’s Kirk, The Old Town, the Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile, as your conductor points out the sites where several tortures, murders and executions took place.

You will be visiting Grassmarket, an infamous execution site of many famous traitors and disrupters, including the unfortunate 'half-hangit' Maggie Dickson. Hear the details from your guide!

It is said that certain restless spirits still haunt these areas and you will feel the jitters as the conductor enacts some of the horror stories.

Your tour will end at the departure point.
