Overview

Witness in real life the real hustle and bustle of an Indian spice market riddled with colours, bargains and people as you make your way through Khari Bowli in Old Delhi! Stroll through the large number of busy rainbow lanes of the Khari Bowli area with your expert English speaking tour guide and shop for a bargain!

See the man-power intensive market as it goes through its daily routine starting from the rigorous process of manual loading and unloading of the spices. Day laborers wrestle with huge sacks of products onto or off long wooden trolleys and get ready to set up shop! Watch as customers and shop keepers bargain, select and make deals on the countless exotic spices.

You’re sure to be amazed at the lively activity that is actually quite well organized with daily business turnovers in millions of dollars. Khari Bowli truly puts the term ‘method to madness’ to test in its markets. Despite being a wholesale market, one can actually buy small quantities of spices. Your guide will tell you about the spices, the flavours they impart and how they can be combined with other spices to impart a totally different flavour.
