Discover the myriad secrets of Old and New Delhi as you immerse yourself in this cultural journey and see iconic highlights that are rooted in history. Kickstart your trip at The Red Fort overlooking the river Yamuna. The majestic fortified structure dates back to the years 1638 and for ten years kept the Moghul Empire was at its peak. The tour continues to Jama Masjid, one of Asia’s largest mosques. People stream in and out of the mosque continuously and the presence of a nearby bazaar means that the area is rarely quiet!


Your next location is a stark contrast as you proceed to the Raj Ghat, a simple, quiet and peaceful memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. As you make your way to the newer parts of Delhi, you drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building and the Rashtrapati Bhawan – home to the President.


You tour around the city and arrive at Qutab Minar - the tallest stone tower in India. Qutub-ud-din Aibak started it in 1199! Pulling down 27 Hindu and Jain temples and using their columns erected the attached Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque was also built by him. The final leg of your tour brings you to Humayun’s Tomb – also known as forerunner of Taj Mahal. Behold the marvelous architecture that eventually inspired the iconic Taj.
