Overview

The Bodegas Fundador Pedro Domecq is the oldest Sherry firm in the city of Jerez, dating back to the 18th Century. It is also one of the most exclusive and singular bodegas in this city dedicated to sherry.

On this guided tour, after a brief introduction video, we'll visit some spectacular, historical buildings including the wine cellars of San Pedro, El Molino and La Luz, among others, where you'll see row on row of American Oak casks used for storing the different sherries and brandies. In the complex you'll also see pretty traditional Andalusian patios and shady 18th Century gardens.

All of the sites are an excellent combination of art, history, architecture, craftsmanship, and of of course great sherry, making this one of the best and most interesting bodegas to visit. A tour of these unique bodegas will take you back in time, providing you with a feast for your senses The firm was even named as the best wine producer in the world in 2005 by the International Wine and Spirits Competition.

Tours are provided in both English and Spanish and take around an hour. A tour of the cellars as well as a tasting session is included. For an additional price, tapas will also be provided at the sherry tasting session. There is also a shop where you will be able to purchase the different brandies and sherries produced by the bodega.
