Choose the morning pickup time to suit your schedule, and then meet your guide at your Bordeaux hotel before you head out of the city to begin your private Médoc castle tour. Travel along the 'route des châteaux' du Médoc with your guide and discover prestigious appellations such as Margaux, Saint-Julien and Pauillac — some of the names on which Bordeaux’s winemaking reputation is built. The rolling hills and sun-drenched soil here produce some of Europe’s most powerful red wine, with complex flavors and fruity scents to the fore.

Visit three winemaking estates with your guide to gain insight into the ancient traditions and complex processes the grapes go through in their journey from vine to glass. Taste the wine for yourself to appreciate fully the depth and complexity of flavour they offer. Merlot and cabernet are just a few of the varietals you may be lucky enough to try, alongside an apéritif and light snack of delicacies from the local markets. In the afternoon, gain further insight into Bordeaux wine with a blending session in a local tasting room. Sample a selection of different grape varietals, and then blend them to your taste to produce your own wine. At the conclusion of your wine tasting, hop back inside your vehicle for the return journey to your Bordeaux hotel.
