Overview

Located in Huairou district and about 70 km from downtown Beijing, Mutianyu Great Wall is less crowded with picturesque views. This section once worked as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs.

The Great Wall of China is the longest wall in the world and is a true feat of engeneering and defensive architecture of the past. Mutianyu is one of its longest sectors and although it is open to tourism, it is less crowded than the others. Admire the impressive watchtowers and stroll along its winding path built on rugged terrain and surrounded by mountains

What's more, if you don't fancy the walk, you can choose to go up by cable car or chair lift (not included). When you descend, you can opt to go down by foot or by taking the famous toboggan slide (not included, payable locally).

After around 2 hours hiking on the Mutianyu Great Wall, enjoy the scenic journey back to the hotel where the tour comes to an end.
