Overview

A rev-head’s delight, this ticket to the Motorbike Museum in Barcelona- dedicated entirely to the world of motorbikes- allows you to view one of the Spain’s finest collections of vehicles.

The museum is positioned in a captivating space, underneath the convent of Sant Felip Neri in the heart of the Gothic Quarter of the city. This museum goes beyond the mere technical functions of the vehicles, with each bike on display boasting a different history and cultural significance. Displays also reveal the personal stories, curiosities and anecdotes behind the bikes. You can literally see the evolution of the 20th century Catalonian and Spanish society.

All motor fans will be surprised by the robust collection at the museum which is a result of the exceptional work done by Mario Sole, a devoted motorcycle and mechanics fan who spent many years of his life collecting and restoring motorcycles in his small workshop in Bassella. His love for motorbikes drove this project, culminating in the formation of the Mario Soler Private Motorbike Museum Foundation.

During your visit, view the most fascinating exhibit – ‘The history of the Catalan motorcycle, an industry pioneer, 1905 – 2010’, which showcases the history of motorcycles in Spain. The exclusive exhibit demonstrates more than 150 motorcycle factories through 36 momentous models!

The museum also organises temporary exhibitions, including “24 Hours of Montjuic” which pays tribute to the legendary racing circuit of Montjuic from 1955 to 1986. Exhibits also cover an extensive range of big brand bikes such as Montesa or Derby as well as the small family run factories.
