Good to know

The best time for a River Kwai sightseeing tour is between November and February, when the weather is at its best.  Specifically, February and November offer a perfect balance between good weather and affordability.  Because these two months border on the less popular hot season and monsoon season, you might be able to avail yourself of discounted accommodations and lower prices at restaurants and various Bangkok attractions.  The monsoon season is sub-optimal due to the torrential rain.  But, if you want to experience a similar hardship to that faced by the POWs who built the bridge on the River Kwai, then you’ll probably have this Bangkok point-of-interest all to yourself.  Lastly, what the hot season lacks in precipitation it makes up for with heat and humidity.  If you suffer under these conditions, then you might want to pick another time to visit.  Otherwise, you can be reasonably sure that your River Kwai trip won’t get rained out.
