Round trip transfers are included in this package.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel or the Uluru Resort at dawn at a pre-decided time. As you are driven to the amazing Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park, sit back and enjoy the awe-inspiring landscape that the Red Centre is so famous for.

If lucky, you can also spot some of the local wildlife such as dromedary camels and kangaroos. Your experienced guide will fill you in on the geology, history and culture of Kata Tjuta, which is deeply sacred to the local Anangu people.

Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience of watching the spectacular sunrise at Kata Tjuta, while sipping on your morning cup of tea or coffee. Kata Tjuta, simply translated, means "heads many". Characterised by its 36 steep-sided domes, Kata Tjuta’s rock domes extend 6 kms into the ground and is the remains of erosion that began more than 500 million years ago. Take in the spectacular sight of the domes changing colour with the rising sun. Refuel with a light breakfast before proceeding towards the Karu lookout.

As you hike to the Valley of the Winds, take in fabulous views of the domes of Kata Tjuta and the sacred Anangu men’s area. You will be stopping at the Karingana lookout for more scenic views. Explore the domes and walk through the trickling creek beds. For a less challenging option, an alternative walk is also available.

After the tour, you will be dropped back to Ayers Rock Resort or your hotel in the afternoon.
