Overview
This tour of the Great Ocean Road travels at a relaxed pace allowing you plenty of time to soak up the scenery of one of the world’s most breathtaking coastlines.
You will see all the highlights of the Great Ocean Road including the 12 Apostles, Maits Rest, Rainforest Walk and the Loch Ard Gorge and will see an abundance of local wildlife including Kangaroo and Koalas and, on some days Dolphins and whales.
Frequent stops allow you plenty of opportunity to walk along the oceans edge and take in the superb scenery.
Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel and travel in an air conditioned vehicle accompanied by a driver/guide along the Great Ocean Road running along the scenic coastline of southwest Victoria.
Enjoy spectacular views of the Southern Ocean as you drive towards the small town of Lorne where you will stop for coffee or a walk on the beach. As you continue along the Great Ocean Road you will see a wide variety of native wildlife including Koalas, Kangaroos and possibly even dolphins and whales.
Head towards the beautiful crescent-shaped sandy Apollo Bay beach. Encased by the rolling lush Otway hills in its backdrop, you will be mesmerised by nature as you walk on its white sandy beach. Stop at the magnificent Loch Ard Gorge and witness the great erosive power of the ocean. The sea-carved Elephant Rock coupled with crystal clear waters is a beautiful sight. Enjoy exclusive access to an ancient Eucalyptus Forest walk, located at the iconic Great Ocean Road Eco Lodge where you can have close encounters with koalas, kangaroos and native birds.
After your wonderful day on the Great Ocean Road you will return to Melbourne where you will be dropped at your hotel.
