Overview

On this tour sail in the beautiful Whitsunday islands on the Solway Lass, a remodeled ship with 11 sails and comfortable air-conditioned cabins.

The Whitsundays are a collection of continental islands off the coast of Queensland, Australia. Many of these are national parks and conservation areas and home to an amazing variety of flora and bird life. The water surrounding these islands is clear, blue and home to incredibly beautiful corals and colorful fishes.

Swim, snorkel and enjoy guided walks on some of the pretty islands. And for the more adventurous, there’s opportunity to try your hand at hoisting the sails and steering the ship!

Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Able Point Marina
You will be picked up from your hotel and will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to Able Point Marina which is the departure point for this cruise. Board the Solway Lass, a remodeled ship with 11 sails, air-conditioned guest cabins, a saloon and bar. You will have all your meals onboard the ship.

As the ship sets sail, settle into your accommodation and watch the beautiful water from the comfort of your deck.

During the course of your cruise, your ship will anchor at various beautiful islands and sites which offer splendid swimming and snorkeling opportunities. You will be provided snorkeling equipment and necessary guidance. You will be taken on guided walks on the islands where a crew member will point out the major attractions of the islands.

Spend the night in the ship.

Day 2 and 3: Cruising, Swimming and Sailing
Enjoy sailing in the famous Whitsundays. The region is famous for its marine life. Swim and snorkel in the crystal blue waters and watch corals and colorful fish. Turtles, Dugong, Dolphins, Mantaray, Maori Wrasse and hundreds of different Reef fish are found here. You will visit some of the pretty islands where you will be taken on guided walks. Enjoy the beauty of the islands and see the different types of flora and fauna it supports.

Spend the night in the ship.

Day 4: Return to Abel Point Marina
Today your ship will return to Abel Point Marina. Disembark and board the air-conditioned vehicle which will take you back to your hotel in Airlie Beach. Your tour ends at your hotel.
