Overview
Experience a true ‘Viennese Evening’ on this delightful Danube cruise. Navigate through the Danube canal and enjoy views of the old town. The tour has something for everyone - from sumptuous food, culture, and music to sightseeing. The journey is every bit nostalgic with music in Viennese dialect and an authentic Austrian feast.
With entertainment provided by the incomparable duo of Erich Zib and his daughter, Marion, soak in the nostalgia of another time. They are among the leading exponents of a genre called Wienerlied or Schrammelmusik, famous since the late 19th century and currently the city’s defining symbols. The melodies are sung in the Viennese dialect and the music comes from accordions, double-necked contraguitars and fiddles.
On board the boat you’ll find a cozy atmosphere just like the wine-taverns (‘Heurigen') for which Austria is famous. Heurigen are traditional taverns popular not just for their food and wines but also for a pleasing mix of comfort, coziness and friendliness. Tuck into a traditional buffet stocked with traditional Austrian cuisine and white wine.
During dinner, skilled musicians will entertain you with popular Austrian folk music. Sing and tap your feet to the melodies as you glide along the river through the summer dusk. The special atmosphere is sure to uplift you to make lifelong memories.
