Itinerary

There is no hotel pick-up for this Ancient ruins tour. Please make your way to 204 N Highway 89A. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide whose stories are as colorful as the surroundings.

Step back in time as you explore a 700-year old Sinaguan cliff dwelling. The Sinagua people flourished as hunters and farmers in the American Southwest from the 8th-15th century, many thousands of years before Columbus washed ashore.

History comes alive as your guide reveals the customs and legends of the SInaguans, and decodes the meanings of evocative rock art etched on the cliff walls.

One-third of the journey to the heritage site occurs on a dirt road with potential bumps and potholes.

Viewing the ruins requires a three-quarter mile walk along an uneven dirt path.

Not recommended for guests with mobility issues or those who are pregnant.

Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended.

Pets are not allowed beyond the parking lot at this national heritage site. Please ask about accommodation for service animals prior to taking the tour.
