The tour starts from the GoCar office on 2100 Kettner Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92101. You will be provided with your GoCar for an exciting ride around this beautiful city. Before starting the tour, an English-speaking guide will orient you on how to drive a GoCar. The driver must be 18 years of age and should carry along a valid driving license and credit card.
GoCar is a little 3-wheeler yellow car that takes you on a GPS-guided tour of San Diego. Your clever talking car (in English) navigates and shows you the way. A vehicle holds a maximum of 2 people. Your GoCar is controlled with a motorcycle-style handle, throttle, and hand brakes. The car seats two and has a lockable trunk for your things. Their small size makes parking a breeze.
As you enjoy the drive, it takes you to the best of sites and shares interesting stories that bring the city to life. You can stop for photos, take detours, grab a coffee or break for lunch. This tour gives you the opportunity to see some of San Diego’s less-visited neighborhoods and encompasses Old Town, Shelter Bay with an optional detour, Liberty Station, Cabrillo Point, Cabrillo beach area and the Ocean Beach among others. Drive to the beautiful seaside neighborhood of Point Loma and enjoy fabulous views of San Diego Bay and Coronado Island. See the old Point Lima Lighthouse, now partially open to the public and refurbished to its historic 1880’s interior. You will also see another of Point Loma’s popular landmarks, the Cabrillo National Monument named after a Portuguese navigator and the first European explorer to see San Diego Bay. Continue on your way back and visit the beach community of Ocean Beach and return to Old Town.
After sightseeing in San Diego and enjoying scenic views of Point Loma, return to the starting point of the tour.
