Overview

Treat yourself to the tastes of Philadelphia, one of America's greatest culinary cities. This delectable package highlights two of the city's best historical landmarks for food – Reading Terminal Market and the City Tavern Restaurant.

You’ll love the 75-minute Taste of Philly Food Tour in which a food writer takes you to the vibrant Reading Terminal Market to learn all about Philadelphia food favorites like cheesesteaks, hoagies and pretzels.

Another ‘must do’ for foodies and history buffs is the City Tavern Restaurant, where you can sip ale from a hand-blown glass on the site where the main characters in the American struggle for independence came for crucial meetings.

In an authentic 18th century atmosphere, with old unpolished wooden floors and high ceilings, you can enjoy dishes typical of the time such as Martha Washington’s turkey pie and Ben Franklin chicken, served by wait staff dressed in colonial costumes. Your package entitles you to a complimentary dessert with an entree purchase and a souvenir copy of the ‘City Tavern Baking & Dessert Cookbook’.

This is a flexible package so, instead of doing all the activities in one day, you could spread them out over a period of time. It's your call.
