Away from the crowded city, explore the undulating leafy lanes of Hampstead with a private Blue Badge Guide. Be enchanted with its pretty cottages, unique shops and hidden corners. Itinerary

On this private tour your guide will meet you at your hotel at 0930h. You will travel to Hampstead by London Underground and the remainder of the tour will be carried out on foot. (The itinerary can be adapted and stops for refreshments and shopping can be made based on your requirements).

Hampstead has been home to famous painters, poets and novelists. See the areas that inspired them, from uplifting views across the Heath to spooky overgrown churchyards. Also, see the house that inspired a James Bond villain. You may like to visit the house where Keats composed his Ode to a Nightingale, or a 17th century house with a wonderful collection of keyboard instruments.

Visit an exquisite 18th century house and see a magnificent art collection including masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt and Gainsborough. Round off the day with a stroll on the Heath, one of London’s most serene and beautiful open spaces.

At the end point of the tour (flexible based on what you decide to see) your guide will escort you to the nearest underground station and ensure you know how to get back to your hotel. The tour ends at 1730h.
