If Glasgow were to be described in one word, “alive” would be a good choice. The high spirits and humour of its inhabitants are evident in the pubs and bars where loud laughter and live music are the order of the day.
The beautiful Gothic cathedral, is nearly all that remains from the city’s 14th century roots. The Burrell collection, in the city’s South Side, is an important collection of medieval art. These are just two of the attractions which draw tourists to the city. Glasgow is an enchanting city of compatible contrasts - of football and architecture or of pubs and cathedrals.
