An enchanting experience awaits you on the Dubai Evening City Tour & Dhow Cruise with Dinner. At the start of the excursion, around 1500h (03:00pm), you will be picked up from your hotel in Dubai City center (Please make sure you are ready for your hotel pick-up as the driver is unable to wait for latecomers.) Your city tour starts at the Old Bastakiya District, developed in the late 19th century by rich Persian traders who dealt in pearls and textiles.
The mansions of Bastakiya have stood the test of time. Many have been beautifully restored and you can admire the picturesque architecture. Your guide will point out the walls topped with wind towers that shielded many of the homes. The wind was trapped in the tower and funnelled down into the house as an early form of air conditioning.
After Bastakiya, head towards the coast where you will see Dubai’s modern masterpieces. These is include Burj Khalifa, to date the tallest man-made structure ever built, and The Emirates Towers complex containing the Emirates Office Tower and Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, respectively, the 12th- and 29th-tallest buildings in the world. You will also see the unmistakable curved silhouette of the celebrated Burj Al Arab luxury hotel.
Your delightful evening winds up with an enjoyable cruise on a dhow, , a traditional wooden vessel. As you glide through the shallow lagoon of the Dubai Creek you will be able to see how ancient and modern sit side by side in the city. You can admire the skyline in the dusk and see the magnificent historic mansion of Sheikh Saeed, grandfather of the present Ruler, and the Heritage Village.
During your cruise, you will enjoy a delicious onboard buffet dinner with complimentary soft drinks and mineral water.
At the end of your delightful evening you will be taken back to your hotel, arriving about 2130h (09:30pm).
