This tour will show you one of South India’s most famous sanctuaries and give you the opportunity to fish for the ‘Mahseer’ – the largest and finest tropical fish known to man - in Bheemeshwari! Nagarhole has an astonishing abundance of wildlife, especially the Asian elephant. The backdrop of the distant misty blue Brahmagiri Mountains, the natural sounds of the jungle, the gurgling of streams and rivers and the twittering of birds make Nagarhole a memorable experience. The total area of the Rajiv Gandhi National Park is 644 square kilometres. The fauna includes the elephant, tiger, leopard, wild dog, sambar, barking deer, sloth bear, wild boar, Indian bison, mouse deer and the spotted deer. At Bheemeshwari, enjoy the woody landscape from where the Cauvery river flows. The river offers both adventure and opportunity for nature lovers. Home to the great ‘Mahseer’ - the finest and the largest tropical fish known to man - Bheemeshwari is a great place for fishing.
