Enjoy wildlife safaris in Tanzania as you explore the Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro conservation area. Travel to the 2850 square kilometres Tarangire National Park that is covered with baobab trees and dissected by the Tarangire River. Don’t forget your binoculars for bird watching and cameras for some great photographs of wild animals. Take an afternoon game safari at Tarangire and you could spot herds of wildebeest, elephants, hartebeest, kudus, giraffes and a large variety of birds. Drive down to the world famous Serengeti National Park and enjoy game spotting safaris! This reserve encompasses the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and Kenya’s Masai Mara up to Lake Victoria. The sheer variety of African wildlife in this reserve has no comparison. From wildebeest, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, gazelles, giraffes and elands to a large variety of bird life, this reserve is an animal lover’s paradise! Get a bird’s eye view of the never-ending reserve as you take an early morning hot air balloon ride (option) over the treeless expanse of the Serengeti. Alternatively, take a game spotting drive and admire the diverse wildlife in its natural habitat. 200 kilometres from Serengeti lies the 8300 square kilometres Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive up to the 20 kilometres wide Ngorongoro crater that has a thick forested area, grasslands and wetlands and provides a perfect setting for game spotting. Visit the Ol Duvai Gorge (100 metres high, 50 kilometres long) and see the 1.8 million year old skull known as Australopithecus boisei that was discovered at Ol Duvai Gorge in 1959. With wildlife safaris and hot air ballooning in the Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater, this will be a memorable experience.
