The Sariska Tiger Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary nestled in the Aravali Hills is spread over many acres of land and has a varied landscape of grasslands, deciduous forests, sheer cliffs and rocky areas. It is prime tiger country and home to a variety of wild animals like the tiger, leopard, sambhar, chital, nilgai, four-horned antelope and wild boar, making it an exciting destination for animal and nature lovers alike. Sariska is an important part of Project Tiger, a wildlife conservation project initiated in 1972. Spot crocodiles at the Siliserh Lake on the edge of the sanctuary as you learn more about India's fascinating wildlife with your experienced naturalist guide. Other attractions within the sanctuary are the medieval temples of Garh-Rajor, belonging to the 10th and 11th centuries.
