Enjoy a day out with your family at the Friguia wildlife park. This park, located near Hammamet and Sousse, is the first of its kind in North Africa. Admire wildlife from close quarters. Take the trail past African huts and wooden sculptures of African men carrying spears, bringing alive the atmosphere of the Serengeti. For a fully unobstructed view of the big African cats, take the wooden walkway from above the animals. You will see tigers, lions and cheetahs grazing with gay abandon just like in a wildlife documentary. Friguia Park is home to various types of mammals and reptiles such as antelopes, gazelles, camels, lions, ostriches, flamingos and crocodiles among others. Savor a local preparation at one of the cafes or pick up some attractive souvenirs and handmade jewelry from the gift shop. Truly a great way to get up close to the African wildlife!
