The Kiulu River has its source on Mt. Kinabalu.It has excellent rapids of Grade II and III levels which are suitable for the beginner and the more experienced river rafters.You can body raft, swim and even picnic on the banks of the river and return to Kota Kinabalu by the end of the day! Kota Kinabalu is the biggest town in the Malaysian Borneo province of Sabah.Kota Kinabalu is a multi-cultural and diverse Malay city of tightly packed streets, cafes and small stores with more recently added shopping centres. The local life revolves around fishing, palm oil and rattan plantations, and increasingly, tourism.The province is ideal for great outdoor activities.There are great locations for snorkelling, diving and, of course, terrific forest and jungle excursions. Unlike mainland Malaysia, Sabah (and Kota Kinabalu) is a more exotic and 'wild' and less touristy than other locations.
