How does the prospect of flying to New Zealand’s most active volcano sound to you? At Whakaari (White Island) indulge in an adventure that surpasses every other experience of your life! Fly to the island affording spectacular views of cobalt blue lakes, lush forests and landscapes. The first thing that strikes you about the island is its isolation. Tucked away from the trammels of life, this volcanic island billows out white smoke from its crests like a wrinkled old man puffing out smoke from his pipe. On landing, you get the chance to explore its craters from the interiors. You will be surprised as to how easy and safe it is to actually just walk into the crater of an active volcano! Its sulphur odor will not hassle you once you come across the crystallized sulphur formations. On leaving this cavern you can look out for frolicking dolphins and school of fish playing in the waters.
