Take a tour of South Africa’s Western Cape and you will visit towns, valleys, reserves and mountains. Oudtshoorn, ostrich capital of South Africa, will give you an opportunity to come up close with these tall flightless birds at a farm. Take a safari tour into Knysna, and see unusual geological formations like the ‘Heads’, two sandstone cliffs protecting the mouth of the lagoon from either side. Appreciate the lunar-like landscape of Great Karoo with its blue skies and vast clear distances. You could spot springbok and sheep across the open planes. Set out on a safari in the Karoo National Park and spot wildlife such as black rhino, springbok, eland and a variety of birds like the rare Black Eagle.
