On this tour you will take a boat ride on the Mae Kok River, visit the villages of the Karen and Lahu hill tribes.You will also see the Hot Springs of San Kamphaeng. The Mae Kok River is regarded as one of the most beautiful and unspoiled rivers of the world. It flows gently past forested banks, towering mountains and green and picturesque Thai villages. The Karen people (originally from Myanmar) form the largest of the major hill tribes of Thailand.They live in isolated picturesque villages of Northern Thailand.Each of the many sections of this ethnic group has their own style of dress. Chiang Rai province is located at the northern point of Thailand and borders Myanmar and Laos.This area is noted for its scenic beauty and the brightly garbed hill tribes.There are also several outstanding temples.
