Known for its romantic waterways and winding canals, the city of Venice may be situated in some of the most unique scenery in the world. Travel by steamboat to Europe’s unique open air urban center, Saint Mark’s Square. First established in the ninth century, the square will impress you as a prior meeting spot for Venetian heads of state. Step inside the adjacent Basilica of Saint Mark and be awed by over 8000 square meters of gold and bronze gilded mosaics, as well as dozens of works of art intricately depicting stories from the Holy Bible.
